Day 4: Obedience Before Fruit

Scripture: Proverbs 16:3 – “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
Reflection:
David obeyed God faithfully for many years as a shepherd, long before he became king. His acts of service, humility, and devotion were laying a foundation for his later success. Likewise, God calls us to faithful obedience today, regardless of immediate results.
Obedience is more than doing tasks; it is aligning our will with God’s purposes. Every sermon preached, prayer lifted, song sung, or act of mentoring contributes to a lasting spiritual harvest. True fruitfulness begins in faithful action, even before the reward is visible.
Action:
Reflect on one area of your life where obedience feels difficult. Commit to act in faith, knowing that God sees your heart and will honour your diligence.
Prayer:
Father, give me the grace to obey faithfully in every season. Help me trust that my small acts done in obedience will contribute to Your eternal plan.
