Living Stones: Building in the Way of Christ

Scripture Focus: 

And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God. 1 Peter 2:4-5 (NLT)

You [believers], like living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house for a holy and dedicated priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices [that are] acceptable and pleasing to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:5 (AMP)

From Him the whole body [the church, in all its various parts], joined and knitted firmly together by what every joint supplies, when each part is working properly, causes the body to grow and mature, building itself up in [unselfish] love. Ephesians 4:16 (AMP).

Message: 

We are not raising performers. We are raising priests and builders. 

We are not building platforms. We are building the Body of Christ.

Every Christian is a living stone, designed and positioned by God. Christ is the master builder, and we are His labourers. Only when we obey, love, and serve together will we be able to build accurately in His way.

The Kingdom is not about praise, recognition, or self-interest. It is about uniting with Christ, with each believer complementing the others' talents, abilities, and anointings. As the disciples discovered, greatness in the Kingdom is determined not by power or position, but by humility, obedience, and service.

Fruitfulness is certain when we work together: the Church develops into the fullness of Christ, lives are transformed, and souls are won. Every prayer, study of the Word, and act of obedience aligns us with Christ's dwelling and demonstrates His presence on earth.

Prayer:

Father, enable me to be a living stone that is in partnership with Your Spirit, built according to Your plan, and productive for Your Kingdom. Connect me with my destiny helpers, mentors, and co-labourers so that we can work together to honour Your name. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
