Key Scriptures:
“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” – 2 Chronicles 15:7
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
Reflection
The journey of God’s servants often begins long before the visible results of their labour. Consider these examples:
Abraham: Waited decades for the promise of a child. In the waiting, he learned trust and dependence on God.
Joseph: Endured betrayal, imprisonment, and delay, yet remained faithful. God prepared him for a season of influence and leadership.
Moses: Spent 40 years in the wilderness before leading God’s people to the Promised Land. Preparation was key to his fruitfulness.
David: Anointed as king but waited through years of hardship and testing before ascending the throne.
Each of these servants experienced delays, challenges, and unseen work, yet God’s hand was shaping them for the purpose and impact He intended.
The church is called to a similar journey. There are seasons where:
The fruit of your labour seems invisible.
Your efforts go unnoticed by others.
Waiting tests your faith, perseverance, and obedience.
But these seasons are not wasted. God is:
Strengthening your character
Refining your faith
Preparing you for multiplication and impact
Just like Abraham, Joseph, Moses, and David, your obedience in the waiting season ensures that when God’s promises arrive, they come fully formed, enduring, and multiplied.
Encouragement
Your faithfulness matters more than immediate results.
Comparison with others can mislead; God’s timing is unique for each person.
Every small act of obedience, prayer, teaching, or service is a seed planted for eternal impact.
God honours perseverance, and your season of preparation is the foundation for fruit that will bless generations.
Prayer
Lord, teach us to trust Your timing and to remain faithful even when we do not see immediate results. Strengthen our hearts in waiting, refine our faith in hardship, and prepare us for the fruitfulness You have planned. Let our obedience and perseverance bring glory to Your name and multiply blessings in Your Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen
