Royal Priesthood
Titled by God. Formed by Christ. Empowered by the Spirit.

Royal Priesthood is a biblical teaching framework on priesthood and identity in Christ.

Through Jesus Christ, believers have been made a royal priesthood. This identity is not symbolic. It is spiritual reality. We minister unto God as priests, and we represent His kingdom as a royal people.

This teaching restores priesthood to daily life, breaks performance religion, and brings believers back to their priestly work: offering spiritual sacrifices to God and walking in kingdom responsibility on the earth.
Identity: Priests Unto God
Priests draw near to God.
Priests minister unto God.
Priests offer sacrifices.

In Christ, our sacrifices are spiritual:
• Praise
• Thanksgiving
• Obedience
• Intercession
• Surrendered living

Scripture:
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own possession.” 1 Peter 2:9
“Through Jesus, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise.” Hebrews 13:15

In priesthood, our first ministry is to God, not to people.
Identity: Royal in Christ
Royalty speaks of authority.
Royalty speaks of inheritance.
Royalty speaks of responsibility.

In Christ, we reign by:
• Obedience
• Righteousness
• Service
• Faith

Scripture:
“Jesus Christ… has made us kings and priests unto God and His Father.” Revelation 1:6
Believers reign by alignment with Christ, not by worldly power.
The Priesthood Pattern
In Scripture, the priesthood always flows in this order:
-
Identity
Called by God
Not self-appointed
-
Access
Presence before service
Communion before ministry
-
Offering
Sacrifice with joy
Not transactions
-
Representation
Intercession for others
Standing in the gap
This order now belongs to all believers through Christ.
What Believers Offer Now
We no longer offer animal sacrifices.
We offer spiritual sacrifices.

Scriptural sacrifices include:
• Praise (Hebrews 13:15)
• Thanksgiving (Psalm 50:14)
• Obedience (1 Samuel 15:22)
• Intercession (Ezekiel 22:30)
• Body and life surrendered (Romans 12:1)
• Doing good (Hebrews 13:16)

These are priestly acts.
Priesthood and Daily Life
Priesthood is not an event.
It is a life.

Priesthood appears when we:
• Pray
• Worship
• Intercede
• Obey
• Seek the Word
• Consecrate our hearts

It is not performance.
It is communion.
Authority Without Pride
Royalty in Christ is not domination.
It is a responsibility.

Scripture:
“Those who receive abundance of grace… will reign in life through Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:17

To reign is to:
• Govern desire
• Govern speech
• Govern decisions
• Govern atmosphere
• Govern assignment

Royalty without priesthood becomes pride.
Priesthood without royalty becomes defeat.
God designed both.
Five Signs of a Restored Priesthood
A restored priesthood produces:
• Love for God’s presence
• Joy in surrendered obedience
• Discernment of God’s voice
• Intercession for others
• Fruit that glorifies God

These are the marks of maturity.
Conclusion
Jesus restores what Adam lost:
• Access to God
• Alignment with God
• Assignment from God

The royal priesthood is not a title for elites.
It is identity for every believer.

This is how we live:
• Near to God
• Unto God
• For His glory

This is priesthood.
This is royalty.
This is our calling in Christ.
